Welcome to HIVE HEROES, an interactive experience where Art, Science, and Play come together to reveal the healing secrets of honeybee hives.

Inspired by pioneering research from The Maori Lab (University of Cambridge) on RNA cooperation, this immersive digital adventure lets you become a ‘worker bee’ on a mission to stop a fast-moving virtual virus. Using wearable technology, you’ll collaborate with other players to protect the hive.

As you play, your efforts also support real-world science. Data from the game will contribute to ongoing research into how organisms share immunity, helping us better understand global health challenges.
